Hidden in the heart of Damansara Uptown is a special home that sets itself up as being a safe haven from the murmur of the city.

Taking cues from textures, motifs and hues of a tribal lifestyle, they are harmonised into the mould of a modern apartment.

Ideal for a family of four, this three bedroom home has a generous, open kitchen space with an island bar which doubles up as a dry kitchen. The wet kitchen is separated by a sleek glass sliding panel, with a powder finished metal design.

Entertainment is also high on the checklist with the inconspicuous built-in bar, complete with space for the custom made bar cart while not in use.

A collection of eclectic objects, either momentos or antiquities are used for both decorative and functional purposes. Solid live edge wood slabs replace traditional materials for a feature headboard piece and bar counter which sits on top of a mild steel structure.

Up close, textures and prints inspired by tribal elements take their lead across upholstery, wall coverings and rug selections. An intricate laser cut motif in one of the secondary bedrooms lends depth and detail to the room.
