A serene blend of warm natural tones and textures defines the heart of this Balinese-inspired home. Timber trunk ceiling details bring richness and character, while layered finishes, soft wall paints, natural sisal rugs, sheer curtains, and handcrafted wood cabinetry add depth and comfort. Every furniture piece is bespoke, handmade in Indonesia to reflect the home’s authentic cultural roots. Artful decor and curated pieces from travels to Bali infuse the space with personality. Thoughtfully designed lighting, including downlights recessed into the timber ceiling, allows for mood variation.
Dining Area
Framed by corner windows, the teak wood dining table invites natural light and seamless flow to the outdoor gazebo. Sheer curtains enhance the airy ambiance, while hand-woven rattan pendants add warmth and charm. The kitchen features elegant quartz countertops and a colourful glass backsplash, grounded by a striking teakwood art piece above the island.
Reading Nook
Nestled under the stairs, the reading nook offers a quiet retreat with a visual connection to the living area. A generously sized built-in bench doubles as storage, perfect for books and personal treasures. Warm-toned doorframes and railings complement the wood finishes, while textured paint lends a cosy touch to this intimate corner.
Guest Room
Designed with natural ventilation in mind, the Guest Room features rattan cabinet doors and timber-framed cladding for a relaxed, tropical feel. A hand-painted artwork of a Balinese dancer brings local culture to life, adding movement and grace to the space.
Family Living
Centrally located, the Family Living area features a cleverly integrated ladder and cabinetry finished in warm wood and rattan. Subtle back-lit shelving and minimal artificial lighting create a calm and inviting atmosphere, in harmony with the home's commitment to natural daylight and sustainable design.
Master Bedroom
Evoking the essence of a luxury resort, the Master Bedroom features timber-clad pitched ceilings, soft linen curtains, and natural textured walls. A custom headboard wall glows with ambient back-lighting, while a handcrafted rattan pendant adds dramatic scale. Thoughtful touches include a teak dressing table that doubles as a desk, pebble-inspired drawer knobs, and a photo gallery wall that replaces the TV for a more mindful, screen-free zone. A sliding rattan door opens into a walk-in wardrobe leading to the en-suite.
Attic
Finally the attic was built to utilise the double volume height in the Family Living area adding a hidden escape, perfect for gaming or relaxing on beanbags among timber finishes and soft custom furnishings.
