This tranquil retreat embraces the warmth of nature through a thoughtful layering of textures and handcrafted details. The ceiling features exposed timber beams, giving a grounded elegance, while a palette of sun-washed neutrals, organic fabrics, and tactile finishes offers a deeply soothing ambiance. Custom-built furniture by artisans in Indonesia bring authenticity and a quiet sense of luxury. Decorative elements, curated from travel and memory, enrich the space with subtle storytelling.
Dining Area
Bathed in sunlight from wraparound glazing, the dining area feels open and welcoming. A robust teak dining table anchors the space, complemented by sheer drapery that allows daylight to filter gently. Overhead, woven pendant lamps in natural fibres introduce a hint of rustic charm. Sliding pocket doors within an arch separate the adjacent kitchen.
Reading Room
A cosy alcove tucked beneath the staircase transforms into a restful reading nook. Here, a custom-built bench with concealed storage becomes both a practical and intimate element. It overlooks the dining area and leads into the downstairs reading room, complete with hundreds of books, a study desk and a daybed.
Family Lounge
At the core of the home, the family lounge on the first floor blends functionality with a calm aesthetic. The double volume height showcases timber beams and a collection of curated pendant lights bringing comfort and light.
Master Bedroom
A sanctuary in the primary features a dreamy canopy with linen sheers that drift in the breeze, and a custom feature wall behind the bed. Bespoke furniture everywhere emphasise tactile luxury.
Secondary Bedrooms
The teenage girl's bedroom embraces a relaxed coastal vibe, featuring soft blue tones and whitewashed custom furniture that evoke a serene, seaside feel. A shiplap-inspired custom wallpaper adds texture and charm to the space, while a decorative teak ladder propped against the wall serves as a playful yet stylish accent. In contrast, the little boy’s bedroom is brought to life with a full-wall custom wallpaper showcasing vibrant under-the-sea creatures, sparking imagination and adventure. A single bedframe shaped like a house adds whimsy, while a bespoke wardrobe with open sections keeps toys within easy reach. The room is thoughtfully designed with ample floor space, encouraging creative play and movement.
