Client: See Hoy Chan
Location: Damansara Uptown
Project: Imazium
Description: A 31-storey Grade A office building designed for creative minds. Expect the unexpected!
Our role: Lead designer, space planning
Imazium blends the ideas of imagination and gymnasium, creating a dynamic workspace designed to spark creativity. Our challenge was to conceptualise a space that fuels brainstorming and collaboration in unconventional ways. The building’s tagline, "Where creativity sparks", perfectly captures the essence of this vision.
A licence to play is embedded into the design to encourage free thinking. Unexpected elements keep the atmosphere lively, adding unique conversation starters that enhance face-to-face interactions in our increasingly digital world. The aim is to cultivate a community where work thrives through enjoyment and creativity.
Expressive art takes centre stage in the lobby, with a striking main sculpture that draws attention as it extends into the void above. This piece symbolises collaboration and the power of working together to reach greater heights. It’s a thought-provoking installation that welcomes newcomers and serves as a final reminder for tenants as they leave for the day.
The open layout encourages interaction, with flexible seating arrangements designed to foster a collaborative environment. A grassy bank along the windows brings the outdoors inside, connecting the space with the surrounding landscape. The seating itself is intentionally unconventional but highly functional, offering a fresh take on office furniture.
The lobby features avant-garde architecture, complemented by a state-of-the-art “live wall” that rises through the double-height space. This wall can showcase any scene from anywhere in the world, adaptable to reflect the building’s evolving vision. It’s a fitting element that aligns with the innovative spirit of Imazium.
Natural materials like granite and marble define the flooring, laid in a two-tone pattern that converges towards the building’s core. The warmer tones invite visitors in, creating a sense of flow and connection.
A warm, neutral colour palette adds an inviting touch, setting the stage for both creativity and business.
