Client: Eastern & Oriental
Location: Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur
Project: The Mews
Description: Created for simple, refined living, The Mews is a thoughtfully designed condominium in the heart of the city.
Our role: Lead designer, space planning, decor styling

To custom-design a 1 bedoom unit as part of a glistening new landmark in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The property is a collaboration between our client and Mitsui Fudosan Residential. There is a sense of style to the property, evident through the smart drop off lobby, spa-like amenities and polished wooden floor finishing in the units.

We created a private haven in the midst of the most vibrant part of the city through a modern Japanese inspired approach using neutral tones and textures to convey an immediate sense of home and calm.

The unit came with flooring, walk-in wardrobe and kitchen fit-out. Our additions of cabinetry design include a free standing shelving unit and marble top island counter with an in-built extendable table that doubles dining space from 2 to 4 people.

The generously sized master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is complemented by an abundance of natural light and boasts views of the city. We added a custom-made padded headboard, TV console and dressing table with an oversized custom-built metal framed circular mirror. Geometric rugs, wallpaper and pillows contribute to the balance and uniformity.

This home possesses its own understated elegance with functionality tailored to its size.
