Tucked away in the beautiful mountain ranges of the Japanese Alps, Koharu Resort exudes low-key luxury and comfort, in an artful blend of craftsmanship and thoughtful design. The brief for this stylish resort was to design five different layout types. A three bedroom penthouse suite, two bedroom, one bedroom and multiple studio apartments. Artwork of natural Japanese scenes can be found in the suites and around the common areas.
Following the Japanese preferred design for nature and simplicity, the overall designs were kept minimal and light through the use of wood and colour.
Each suite features a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and all the expected amenities of home for effortless self-catering.
