Black Diamond is the contemporary counterpart of the Urbanist, equally measured and detailed in its own way, with careful thought given to materials and angles used.
A play on angles, tells the story of this studio. Sleek, masculine and reflective with a dark, smart edge. Customised diamond shaped tiles in tones of black and grey highlight the kitchen and bathroom, whereas warmer wood tones are reserved for the living and bedroom flooring.
Floating glass shelves and doors are strongly outlined. Their translucent nature lends a sense of space throughout, allowing light to flow through with the addition of a functional perforated wall panel. The differentiation in flooring signifies function and purpose of areas.
Urban living brings space limitation as one of the determining factors. Vertical areas were maximised in all units through the introduction of multipurpose storage walls.
Reflection is evidently important in a small home, and this quality is enhanced on all surfaces including the metallic finish selection across soft furnishings, throw pillows and curtains
